Prayer before studies

Goddess Saraswathi

Sarasvati namastubhyam,

varade kaamaroopini;

vidyaarambham karishyaami,

siddhir bhabatu me sadaa.

Meaning : 

On Goddess Saraswathi, my humble prostrations unto Thee, Who are the fulfiller of all my wishes. I start my studies with the request that Thou wilt bestow Thy blessings on me .

Early morning prayer

Sandhya Vandhanam

Karaagre Vasate Lakshmeeh,

Karamoole Sarasvatee;

Karamadhye tu Govindah,

Parabhaate karadarshanam.

Praying procedure : 

While chanting this sloka, one has to undergo the observance of God by looking at your palms in the following manner to get the blessings of Almighty for that day :

• On the tip of your fingers is goddess Lakshmi, 
• On the base of your fingers is goddess Saraswathi,
• In the middle of your fingers is lord Govinda
